These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of picnicstories.com and the services offered by The Picnic Stories, including luxury picnic setups, curated décor experiences, celebration styling, and related event services in Jaipur and Gurugram.

By using the website, submitting an enquiry, confirming a booking, or making payment, you agree to these Terms. Electronic records and online interactions may be recognised under applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Services

The Picnic Stories offers luxury boho picnic setups and related styled event experiences. Services may vary by city, location permissions, package selected, date availability, weather conditions, décor availability, third-party vendor support, and operational feasibility.

Eligibility

You represent that you are legally competent to enter into a binding contract under applicable law. If you make a booking on behalf of another person, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

Quotations and bookings

• All quotations are subject to availability and are valid only for the period mentioned in the quote or message.
• A booking is treated as confirmed only after written confirmation from The Picnic Stories and receipt of the required advance payment.
• The business may decline or cancel a booking request before confirmation for operational, safety, legal, or availability reasons.
• Package details, inclusions, exclusions, setup duration, customisations, add-ons, and pricing should be checked carefully before payment.

Pricing and payment

• Prices are communicated in Indian Rupees unless otherwise stated.
• Full or partial advance payment may be required to block the date and begin preparation.
• Payments are currently accepted through UPI or bank transfer in advance.
• Any balance amount, if applicable, must be paid within the timeline communicated before the event.
• Applicable taxes (including GST where applicable), delivery charges, venue fees, permissions, security deposits, damages, special sourcing costs, or last-minute custom requests may be charged additionally where applicable.

Customer responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate booking, location, timing, and contact information.
• Obtain required permissions for private venues, residential societies, hotels, resorts, public spaces, terraces, farms, or other event locations unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
• Ensure a safe, lawful, and accessible setup area.
• Treat all décor, props, tableware, soft furnishings, candles, flowers, accessories, and rented materials with reasonable care.
• Supervise children, guests, and pets at the event site.
• Follow reasonable safety instructions shared by The Picnic Stories team.

Setup, timing, and access

• Customers must ensure timely access to the venue for setup and pack-up.
• Delays caused by customer-side access issues, late arrival, wrong location details, missing permissions, or restricted entry may shorten setup time or affect service quality without creating an automatic refund right.
• The Picnic Stories may levy additional charges for extended waiting time, overtime, unusual access conditions, or location changes after confirmation.

Décor, flowers, props, and customisation

Actual décor elements may vary slightly from reference images due to hand-crafted styling, seasonal availability, supplier changes, monitor colour differences, weather conditions, and local sourcing constraints. The Picnic Stories will make reasonable efforts to preserve the overall aesthetic and agreed theme.

Food, beverages, and third-party services

Where food, cakes, photography, music, balloon décor, florals, or other third-party services are arranged, they may be provided directly by external vendors. The Picnic Stories may coordinate such services for convenience but is not responsible for acts, delays, failures, quality issues, or representations made independently by third-party vendors, except to the extent expressly accepted in writing.

Weather, force majeure, and unforeseen events

Outdoor events are subject to weather, local restrictions, venue limitations, traffic conditions, and other circumstances beyond reasonable control. In case of rain, storm, excessive heat, civic restrictions, strikes, natural events, public safety concerns, government orders, or similar force majeure situations, The Picnic Stories may offer rescheduling, partial modification, indoor adjustment, credit note, or another practical solution depending on the stage of preparation and feasibility.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations, postponements, refunds, and rescheduling are governed by the separate Cancellation & Refund Policy available on the website, which forms part of these Terms.

Damage, loss, and extra cleaning

Customers may be liable for damage, breakage, staining, loss, or abnormal cleaning costs affecting props, décor, rugs, tableware, cushions, furniture, candles, or any rented/styled material caused by the customer, guests, pets, or venue conditions beyond normal wear and tear.

Intellectual property

All website content, branding, logos, photographs, graphics, package descriptions, captions, layouts, and creative concepts displayed by The Picnic Stories are owned by or licensed to the business and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. They may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission.

User content and testimonials

If you voluntarily share reviews, testimonials, feedback, event photographs, videos, tags, or social content with The Picnic Stories, you grant a non-exclusive, revocable permission to repost or feature such content for portfolio, social proof, or promotional use, unless you explicitly request otherwise in writing.

Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
• Misrepresent identity or booking details.
• Upload or transmit malicious code or interfere with website security.
• Copy website material or business concepts in a misleading or infringing manner.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Picnic Stories shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, reputational, sentimental, or punitive losses arising from use of the website or services. Where liability is legally established, total liability shall generally be limited to the amount actually paid to The Picnic Stories for the specific booking giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in this clause is intended to exclude or restrict any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or other applicable mandatory consumer protection law in India.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Picnic Stories, its founders, employees, contractors, and representatives from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, venue violations, or damage caused by you or your guests.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, courts having jurisdiction over the business location stated in the final business details shall have jurisdiction over disputes. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable consumer protection laws in India.

Changes to terms

These Terms may be revised from time to time. Updated Terms will become effective when published on the website unless stated otherwise.
